Gluten Free in Vegas!- Girls Trip Edition

I’m back!

This past weekend I headed back to Vegas for an all girls trip, and it was so much fun! We only went for two nights, but we made sure to pack our schedule full so that we could enjoy everything!

On Thursday night, we headed to Lavo for dinner. We stayed in the beautiful Palazzo hotel, and I did some research before to find the best gluten free eats near where we were staying. Lucky for me, Lavo came as a highly rated gluten free Italian option right in the hotel! I had the most amazing gluten free penne vodka, felt great after, and really enjoyed the whole experience. We also shared the meat and cheese plate (with bread on the side) as a starter. Yum!

On Friday, I headed down to the lobby to Juice Farm. I was in the mood for something healthy after my pasta dinner. They had tons of smoothie and juice options. I went for a smoothie with strawberries, banana, pineapple, and spinach. It was so refreshing! After breakfast we headed down to the pool to lounge. I splurged for a coconut drink in a real coconut =).

After we got too hot sitting outside, we ventured into the Venetian to wander around the shops and find lunch. The inside is so fun. If you haven’t been, they have recreated a whole river walk of shops complete with gondola rides and a changing sky on the ceiling.

We headed to a magic show for some pre-dinner entertainment Friday night. Afterwards, we grabbed a bite to eat at Border Grill. I actually ate their last year as well. The fundido is really yummy!

We ended the night at Tao Night Club. I love dancing! Not only is it so much fun, but you get a workout from it too! I actually felt great the whole trip. I stuck to some tips I always use when I know I’ll be drinking that really seemed to work and keep me healthy!

  1. I only drank one type of drink the majority of the time- vodka soda/water. Not only does vodka seem to keep me feeling better the next day, but the club soda or water helps keep me hydrated.
  2. I drank a lot of water before climbing into bed. Nothing is worse than waking up in the middle of the night dying of thirst!
  3. I ate healthy 80% of the time. I tried to keep it simple and clean for breakfast and lunch knowing I would probably have something fun for dinner.

Overall, it was such a fun time and I can’t wait till our next girls trip!

Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

I’m wrapping up my last week of the bikini challenge (more recaps to come) and packing for a trip to New Mexico this weekend. We will be staying in a cabin for a week of relaxation, which will be a welcome change from Vegas! Hang in there, tomorrow is Friday!

  1. Sounds like an amazing trip – I visited Vegas once years ago and it was unforgettable. Also… your tips are great for avoiding a hangover!
