If you are ever in Dallas, you NEED to check Company Cafe out.
This is definitely one of the best gluten free eating spots around. 99% of their menu can be or already is gluten free. Everything is fresh and locally sourced, and of course, it’s all delicious.
Nick and I headed to lunch there a couple weeks ago. It’s always a special treat, so I never hold back. I started with a Strongbow Gold Apple hard cider. I like this brand in particular because it is not as sweet as some other ciders. I do have to be careful when drinking it because the alcohol content is a bit higher =). I first tried it when I visited England a couple years ago.
To start, Nick and I shared some loaded fried. It was a mix between regular and sweet potato fries covered in melted cheese, bacon, green onions, and jalapenos. Oh my, these are so amazing. I could probably make a meal out of these alone.
But of course, I didn’t. For my meal I ordered the Chicken Sandy. It’s a gluten free fried chicken breast, served with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a avocado ranch on a Local Oven gf bun. The breading on the chicken has a bit of saffron in it. Definitely makes it unique.
I took dessert home for later. All of their desserts are gluten free. I opted for the tres leches mini cake. Perfect for not sharing =).
Company Cafe has salads, awesome brunch food, and they whip up gluten free pizzas on Tuesday nights. I have yet to try it out. Definitely on my to do list!
Happy Friday!
