Happy Friday everyone!
It was a really busy week for me at work, especially Thursday! I still have some recaps from Monday that I haven’t shared.
Over the weekend I received my new planner in the mail! I’m a super nerd when it comes to organizing, and I was ready to bust out a new one for the 2015-2016 academic year. I couldn’t bring myself to spend $50 on an Erin Condren planner, so I went with this super cute Bloom planner.
I took some time on Monday to put in important dates and information so that I was ready to go for the week.
Also on Monday, I ran to the mall and picked up some new makeup. I really just needed new foundation from Clinique, but I always wait for them to have a gift with purchase. This is the view walking outside between store sections. So pretty!
The bag was actually super cute this time, and I had some new makeup to work with this week.
On Thursday I ran out to grab lunch. I’m pretty good about packing a lunch for work everyday. It saves money and helps us use all the food we have at home, but there just wasn’t time on Thursday. I decided to drive through Start Restaurant. If you don’t live in the Dallas area, think of it as upscale fast food that uses organic and locally grown ingredients. Best of all, they have a pretty good gluten free menu.
I settled on the chicken, bacon, avocado wrap. I usually end up picking out some of the avocado because it has way to much, but I love the combination together with the bacon. It came on a brown rice wrap which was actually really tasty. Most places I usually get the dressing on the side. It saves quite a bit of calories, and it also keeps the dressing from covering all the other flavors.
I decided on tater tots for the side. I’d like to say this was my only splurge this week. I’d be lying…. a lot. It should be in the low 80s this weekend, so I will have little excuse for getting outside for a run!
Start is pretty pricing, but I really like their choices. They have a yummy quinoa salad, burgers with gf buns, and breakfast options too. What is your favorite go to place for a quick lunch?
I’m looking forward to relaxing a bit this weekend! Hope yours is relaxing too!
Take a minute today to remember all of the men and women who lost their lives this day (September 11th) 14 years ago.
