It feels like it has been forever since I’ve posted.
I’ve had a lot going on both at work and with my family, but more on that later. I wanted to share all about my recent trip to Twisted Root for happy hour last week.
It was a really gorgeous fall day, and it was the perfect evening to sit outside and have a drink. I grabbed a Texas cider. It wasn’t too sweet which is how I like it.
I’m not really a fan of the gluten free buns that they serve with their burgers here, but I always order it with the GF bun because then they take extra steps to make sure it’s safe.I just put it to the side once my order is ready.
I had a burger with cheddar, grilled onions, jalapenos, and bacon. I grabbed the sweet potato chips on the side. These are really the only side that is gluten free, but they are pretty yummy.
They toss the chips in cinnamon and sugar, which I’m not a huge fan of, but it’s nice to have something crunchy on the side.
My favorite burger place is still Hop Doddy, but this is a good alternative and it’s fun to sit outside, have a drink, and people watch! Where is your favorite gluten free burger option?
Happy Pre-Friday everyone! I know it’s going to be a busy weekend prepping for Thanksgiving next week.
