Gluten Free in Dallas: Matt’s Rancho Martinez

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

It’s been a crazy week so far and we are only two days in! I spent the weekend cleaning and working out, but on Saturday, Nick and I headed to our favorite tex mex place, Matt’s Rancho Martinez.

Before feasting on Mexican food, I headed out for a long walk with Peanut, and then did a quick run.

We received a ton of rain over the weekend and the creeks in our neighborhood were definitely rushing. It was fun taking pics while all the creek beds were full.

Around 3 we started getting hungry, and it was starting to feel like margarita time!

The sun was starting to peak through and sitting outside felt amazing. Matt’s has a ridiculously awesome menu for those who have to eat gluten free. Most of their dishes can be made gluten free. They have a ton of appetizer options, so it’s a perfect place for happy hour during the week.

I decided on a skinny margarita, because, you know, it’s “healthier”.

We went with our go to app, the famous Bob Armstrong Dip. It’s queso, topped with guacamole, ground beef, and sour cream. It is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.

For dinner I went with the green chicken enchiladas. The sauce is tangy and the re-fried beans are amazing. I ate half and took the other half home. After all that queso, I wasn’t too hungry!

When we got back, we headed out to the deck for a beer (mine GF of course!). It was the perfect temperature outside!

Definitely the best way to end the day!

Matt’s has three locations in the Dallas area. If you are ever by one, you MUST go get some Bob dip! It is totally worth the calories.

Hoping everyone is surviving the week! I can tell it’s going to be a long one.
