Gluten Free in Florida: Beach Days & Lunch at Dry Dock Waterfront Grill

image

Monday it finally cleared up a bit so Nick and I headed to the beach. We spent all day lounging, swimming in the ocean, and taking walks along the shore. By Tuesday afternoon, we needed a break from the sun. Nick was craving a blackened fish sandwich. We headed to the Dry Dock Waterfront Grill, on Longboat Key.

The view from our table was gorgeous! Nick got the fish sandwich he wanted, and they actually had a decent gluten free menu. I stuck with a Caesar salad, which had a nice tangy dressing. I had a snack before we left in case they didn’t have many options. Next time I will have to try the blackened grouper.

This guy and his friends were just hanging out, waiting to see if they were lucky enough to get something from a diner. We also saw two dolphins swim by!

After lunch, we headed back to relax. We walked out to the beach just before sunset.

I have one more trip recap to come!
