It’s currently 38 degrees outside and I could not be more excited that March starts tomorrow. For such a short month, February has been packed with work, events, and cold weather. I’m ready for spring!
Which brings me to cinnamon rolls…
Smooth transition right? I don’t know about you, but when it’s cold out, nothing sounds better than a warm cup of coffee and something yummy. I’ve been searching for a really good cinnamon roll since I was diagnosed with Celiac in 2010. They were either dry, tasted bland, or were super tiny… but still somehow 500 calories each.
I don’t brag about baked goods often, but these gluten free cinnamon rolls are OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. Heading to Waco soon to visit Magnolia? Make Baked Bliss one of your stops around town.
The actual location is tiny, but has such a cute “food truck” vibe. There are picnic tables and chairs if you choose to enjoy your treats there. Their menu includes breakfast items like quiche and breakfast empanadas, kolaches, and mini versions of their larger baked goods. The gluten free menu includes scones, cookies, muffins, of course cinnamon rolls, and even whole loaves of bread that you can take home! Below is their cinnamon roll and cranberry orange scone.
The first time I tried their cinnamon roll I was sleep deprived and really hungry, so I think cardboard would have been appealing. That’s why I’ve been back two more times for strictly “research” purposes. These guys are soft and fluffy, melt in your mouth, warm and gooey, amazingness. Seriously, the BEST gluten free cinnamon roll I have found.
Don’t live in Waco? Call ahead and place an order to go, and pick up a dozen to take home on your way through. You will not be disappointed!! While your gluten-loving friends enjoy their Magnolia cupcake, you can dig into something they will be jealous of.
Stay warm friends! Spring is coming…
